Our mission is to promote Mozambique’s potential in the economic, tourism, and cultural areas, and to make the country one of the prime investment destinations. We enjoy good relations of friendship and cooperation with the Nordic countries, and we wish to deepen them every day, for mutual benefit. This Diplomatic Mission based in Sweden covers Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and Norway.

Mozambique is a country with diverse natural resources and is one of the fastest-growing economies in Southern Africa in recent years. The country’s geostrategic location makes Mozambique the gateway to the sea for the countries of Southern Africa. These factors, and others, offer advantages to the country as one of the main destinations for foreign direct investment in Africa.

It is the duty of the Embassy to protect and assist Mozambican citizens residing in or passing through Nordic countries, regardless of color, race, sex, ethnic origin, place of birth, religion, level of education, social position, physical or mental condition, marital status, profession, or political affiliation.

The Embassy’s actions have, and will always have, as their main instrument, the National Flag that covers all Mozambicans from Rovuma to Maputo, from Zumbo to the Indian Ocean, and in the Diaspora, advocating for the values ​​of unity and cohesion among all Mozambicans residing in Nordic countries.
